A backflow device is engineered to permit water to flow in only one direction. You might wonder why this is necessary. Well, imagine contaminated water flowing back into your home - certainly not a pleasant scenario!
Therefore, it's crucial to ensure that the component preventing this is functioning correctly. The State of Illinois mandates this test, and our team at American National Sprinkler and Lighting, with state-certified professional plumbers, ensures your backflow device is in top shape, keeping you compliant with state and local regulations.
Moreover, it provides your family with the peace of mind that your home's water is safe.
Backflow Test - A state-licensed plumber from our team will test your backflow device using an approved and calibrated gauge to ensure compliance with government standards. After the test, we submit a copy of your results to your county or municipality.

Residential Process
The test is not completed when your sprinkler system is opened. A plumber will return on a different day to certify and tag the device. You do not need to be home unless your device is inside. We will then schedule an appointment. An invoice will be sent once the test has been completed. Please note, if you move before the test has been completed, you must call 847.566.0099 to cancel or you will be responsible for the bill.
Testing Gives you Peace of Mind
You know your results: After completing our tests, we leave a copy of the results on the device to prove the testing has taken place for all authorities. After the test, we mail the results to the appropriate authority to ensure your record is kept on file.
